The annual show will be held at the Sports Ground, Bideford on Wednesday, June 27th when prizes to the amount of about £250 and 6 silver cups, plate and silver medals will be competed for. Bideford harbour master's salary has not been increased for 20 years, Ald. R. D. D. Birdwood told the Town Council. And because of harbour finances, no application had bene made by the official.
Job evaluation by the County Council management services unit was to be carried out in June, it was pointed out, and it was generally agreed that the case of the harbour master should not be dealt with in isolation. Other recommendations for review of gradings had been deferred pending the Organisation and Methods report.

The Council agreed to await the report

Dislocated shoulders, hips, curvature of the spine and all feet troubles can be remedied by manipulation under her sensitive hands. P M Barrow is the only bonesetter in the West of England who can by manipulation alone take a flat foot and make it normal within a few minutes. The operation can be witnessed by the patient and can be done practically without pain. Paralysis often caused by pressure of a dislocated bone can be righted.
