It is regretted that, inadvertently, some errors occurred in our report, published last week, of successes by pupils of Bideford Grammar School in the recent Higher School Certificate and School Certificate examinations.
The complete list, corrected, is as follows:

The Bideford Town Council resolved that in consequence of no boys being allowed to attend the Bideford Grammar School on the foundation, according to the terms of the endowment, the Charity Commissioners should be informed of the facts, with a view to an inquiry into the subject.

being handed over to the retiring headmaster, Mr C W Stephenson, by the president of the Old Boys Association, Mr Tom Bonetta, at a social gathering.
The staff presented Mr Stephenson with a picnic set and, at morning assembly, the last day of term, boys of the school gave him two picnic chairs, a picnic table and a pair of garden secateurs.
The gifts were handed to him by school captain John Duncan.
